Virgin Australia to expand regional network

Virgin Australia ATR 72

Today we have announced the first routes for our new ATR aircraft, under the regional alliance with Skywest (subject to regulatory approval).

From October 2011 we will commence new services from Brisbane to Gladstone (double daily service) and Brisbane to Port Macquarie (daily return service) plus add extra services between Canberra and Sydney, bringing the total number of flights between the two cities to 60 each week.

Boy does the ATR look sexy with the new colours! Just a quick question who is actually operating the services e.g. cabin crew, I would love to work on one of these beauties and cant find any of the information about applying for the ATR. Thanks

FINALLY: We will be able to fly north from Port Mac without flying to Sydney first. Now we have to fly from Port to Sydney then to Brisbane. We have NOT been able to fly direct to Brissy.✔ Hooobloodyray!!

Have you finalized the flight times yet.

    THANK YOU AGAIN VIRGIN.

Great news the last couple of times I have had to travel to Gladstone I’ve ended up flying to Rocky and hiring a car to drive back to Gladstone because of the availability of direct flights.
