V Australia & Virgin America rock the Sunset Strip

Sunset Strip Music Festival (SSMF) commemorates the influential music history of the Sunset Strip while celebrating its present and future and returns for another year of epic shows August 26 – 28. This year’s line-up is slated to be better than ever with performances by: Slash, The Smashing Pumpkins, Common & Neon Tress (just to name a few).

The first-ever Sunset Strip Music Festival took place June 26-28, 2008, at venues along Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. It was the first time all six famed Sunset Strip music venues came together to participate in one event. The Cat Club, House of Blues, Key Club, The Roxy Theatre, Viper Room and Whisky A Go-Go as well as The Standard and London West Hollywood participated in the festival.

On Saturday, August 28, SSMF takes to the streets with stages on Sunset between San Vicente and Doheny, performances in the venues, vendors and interactive experiences all day on The Strip. We’ll be there with Virgin America & swag to share, so be sure to stop by. We won’t be the only Aussies there: The Dollies, Ruby Tigers & Juke Kartel will be playing.

If this sounds like your kind of party, be sure to follow @VAustralia on Twitter, we’ll be giving away pairs of VIP passes all week.

Still can’t get enough? No worries, Virgin America is giving away a trip to the festival and we’ll be sending one lucky music fan Down Under. Enter here or come visit our SSMF booth on Saturday, 8/28 to fill out an entry form.

Did you miss SSMF last year? We’d hate for you to make that mistake again and just to prove how awesome SSMF is, here’s a recap from last year.
